GIN paraglider flies Ama Dablam

It is worth having a look at this recent video of a GIN paraglider flying off the top of Ama Dablam in the Himalayas (just down the road from Everest).

Having walked past Ama Dablam, it is no mean feat getting up it. Also the guy struggles for while getting the glider under control before he is in a positions to launch. Checkout the speed of the descent with the small canopy.

I was supposed to fly of Labouche Peak in the Khumbu Valley, however things didn't go to plan and I ended up walking back down. I did fly of the hillside above Pherice, and noticed the difference in speed needed during take off due to the thinner air. Also you could feel that there air was not quite so thick when turning the paraglider.

It was howerver an awesome experience flying in the Himalayas.
